Dr. Os Guinness

 

Os Guinness is an author and social critic. Great-great-great grandson of Arthur Guinness, the Dublin brewer, he was born in China in World War Two where his parents were medical missionaries. A witness to the climax of the Chinese revolution in 1949, he was expelled with many other foreigners in 1951 and returned to Europe where he was educated in England.

He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of London and his DPhil in the social sciences from Oriel College, Oxford. Os has written or edited more than thirty books, including The Call, Time for Truth, Unspeakable, A Free People’s Suicide, and The Global Public Square. His latest book, Last Call for Liberty: How America’s Genius for Freedom Has Become Its Greatest Threat, was published in 2018.

Since moving to the United States in 1984, Os has been a guest scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies, a guest scholar and visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution, and Senior Fellow at the Trinity Forum and the EastWest Institute in New York. He was the lead drafter of the Williamsburg Charter in 1988, a celebration of the bicentennial of the US Constitution, and later of “The Global Charter of Conscience,” which was published at the European Union Parliament in 2012. Os has spoken at many of the world’s major universities, and spoken widely to political and business conferences across the world. He lives with his wife, Jenny, in the Washington, DC, area.

 


Sam Allberry

 

Sam Allberry is a global speaker for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He is the author of a numerous books, including Why Bother With Church?, James For You, the bestselling Is God Anti-Gay? and most recently 7 Myths About Singleness.

Sam studied theology at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford, before going on to work at St. Ebbe’s Church in Oxford where he oversaw the ministry to university students. He then worked at St. Mary’s Church in Maidenhead for several years. He is an ordained minister in the Church of England and has served on its governing body, the General Synod. Sam is a consulting editor for The Gospel Coalition.

Sam speaks widely on issues of sexuality and identity and continues to minister as a Bible teacher and pastor. In his spare time Sam enjoys hiking, American history, and slowly perfecting his recipe for Thai green curry.

 


Prof. John Lennox

 

John Lennox is Professor of Mathematics (emeritus) at the University of Oxford and Fellow in Mathematics and the Philosophy of Science. He is also an adjunct Lecturer at OCCA The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, as well as being a Senior Fellow of the Trinity Forum. In addition, he is an Associate Fellow of the Said Business School, Oxford University, and teaches for the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme.
Prof Lennox studied at the Royal School Armagh, Northern Ireland and was Exhibitioner and Senior Scholar at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University from which he took his MA, MMath and PhD. He worked for many years in the Mathematics Institute at the University of Wales in Cardiff, which awarded him a DSc for his research. He also holds a DPhil from Oxford University and an MA in Bioethics from the University of Surrey. Prof Lennox was a Senior Alexander Von Humboldt Fellow at the Universities of Wuerzburg and Freiburg in Germany.

In addition to over seventy published mathematical papers, he is the co-author of two research level texts in algebra in the Oxford Mathematical Monographs series. He is interested in the interface between science, philosophy and theology and his books on those topics include God’s Undertaker: Has Science Buried God?, God and Stephen Hawking, Seven Days that Divide the World and Gunning for God. His most recent title is Can Science Explain Everything?.

Prof Lennox has lectured extensively in North America, Eastern and Western Europe on mathematics, the philosophy of science and the intellectual defence of Christianity. He has also debated a number of prominent atheists, including Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens and Peter Singer. (Website: johnlennox.org

 


Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing

 

Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing is a senior vice president with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and President of OCCA The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. She leads a team of pioneering apologist-evangelists and speaks around the world on how the Christian faith answers the deepest questions of life.

Over the last twenty years, Amy has spoken on university campuses including Oxford, Cambridge, Vienna, Hong Kong, Phoenix, and Massachusetts, in the Speakers Rooms and Chapel at the UK Parliament, on Capitol Hill, and to West Wing staff at the White House. She also speaks in banks, businesses, and consultancy firms as well as churches and conferences.

Amy gained a first-class degree in theology and a DPhil (doctorate) from the University of Oxford. She is also the co-founder of REBOOT, a youth apologetics initiative aimed at helping young people think deeply about faith, which now runs in countries all over the world. Amy is married to Frog and helps lead Latimer Minster, a church plant and community on a farm in Buckinghamshire, and they have three children.
